Requirements & Required Documents

To ensure a valid and legally recognized Online Nikah in Pakistan, the following prerequisites and documents must be met:

  • Age & Consent: Both parties must be 18 or older and entering the marriage of their own free will.

  • Power of Attorney (Authority Letter): A legally drafted authorization from the absent bride or groom appointing a Vakil (representative).

  • Identity Documents: Copies of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) or Passports for both parties. (B-Form or Educational Certificates can be used if a CNIC is unavailable).

  • Witnesses: CNIC copies of two adult witnesses. (If you cannot provide witnesses, our legal team can arrange them for you).

  • Affidavit of Free Will: An affidavit from the bride indicating her free will and consent.

  • Second Marriage Documentation: If applicable, a valid Divorce Certificate or Death Certificate of the former spouse, along with the mandatory Union Council Arbitration Council permission.

The Legal Procedure of Online Nikah in Pakistan

Our structured procedure ensures that the Online Nikah is religiously valid, legally enforceable, and officially recognized in Pakistan and abroad.

StepLegal & Religious Requirement
Step 1Verification of identity, age, marital status, and mutual consent.
Step 2Appointment of Vakil (representative) through witnessed delegation (Shariah requirement).
Step 3Preparation and verification of the written Authority Letter / Power of Attorney (Legal requirement).
Step 4Virtual Nikah solemnization by a licensed Nikah Khawan / Registrar ensuring valid Ijab-o-Qabul.
Step 5Execution and formal sealing of the Nikah Nama (Urdu & English).
Step 6Immediate registration of the marriage with the relevant local Union Council.
Step 7Uploading the record to NADRA’s CRMS system for the issuance of the Computerized Marriage Registration Certificate.

Critical Legal Clarification: Without a valid, properly drafted Authority Letter / Power of Attorney, a Nikah cannot be lawfully registered in absentia, nor can a NADRA-verified Marriage Registration Certificate be issued.

Comprehensive Post-Marriage & NADRA Support

Our commitment does not end when the ceremony concludes. We ensure your marriage is legally secured in the national database:

  • NADRA Marriage Certificate: Seamless integration into the national database for passport and visa updates.

  • Attestation Readiness: Preparation of documents for Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and foreign embassy processing.

  • Legal Protections: Post-Nikah advisory on spousal rights, inheritance, and immigration documentation.
